
Freeing the Natural Voice/ Linklater Master Trainer
Mark Wong is a master teacher, performer, and director dedicated to helping actors access their full expressive potential. A Linklater Master Trainer with a Master’s in Voice Studies, he specialises in freeing the natural voice, integrating breath, resonance, and emotional truth to create authentic, powerful performances. His work focuses on helping performers connect deeply with their inner life, achieve presence on stage or screen, and embody their characters with clarity and integrity.
Mark lectures in Voice Studies at the Victorian College of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, University of Melbourne. He coaches actors across theatre, film, and television, guiding them in character development, text work, and physical and vocal expression. His teaching combines a deep respect for each actor’s individuality with the rigorous techniques of the Linklater method, fostering creativity, confidence, and freedom in performance.
