Carrie has completed a huge body of work (in starring roles) in the USA over the last six years, including TV Movies The Departer (in production); The Service (post-production); A realised Man (post-production); My Killer Reunion; Romance in Hawaii; Bodyguard Seduction; Secrets Exposed; Killer Ambition; My Escort Best Friend; Abduction Runs in the Family; Pom Poms and Payback; Picture Perfect Lies; Just what the Doctor Ordered; Save the Wedding; Stalked by my Doctor; and TV Series Why Women Kill; The Valley; Snowfall; and F#cking 40, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy at the 2020 Indie Series Awards for her work on the series. Also a stage actor, her portrayal of Margot Wendice in Dial M for Murder earned her a BroadwayWorld nomination for Best Actress.
Carrie was born and raised in the small country town of Shepparton in Victoria, Australia and attended Charles Sturt University in NSW Victoria, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Acting for the Stage and Screen. After graduating, she played Eva in the Sydney production and subsequent Australian tour And Then They Came for Me and toured Singapore in Once Upon a Fairytale Christmas. Carrie was training as an ongoing casual student at Film & Television Studio International for a few years until she auditioned and gained a placement in the Full-Time Program. In 2004, she made her film debut in Jessica and has appeared on Australian television in Neighbours, Offspring and H2O, Just Add Water.
Carrie moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and continues to keep busy in film and television across the U.S. In addition to her acting career, Carrie is also an accomplished mezzo-soprano. She first sang with Jason Alexander and the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall in 2013, and continues to enjoy many more symphony engagements with Jason.
