GETTING REAL with RENA OWEN

WHO YOU ARE as a HUMAN-BEING is what will SPEAK for you as an ACTOR on SCREEN or on a STAGE. When an Actor hears the command, ‘ACTION!’ No one can fill that next MOMENT. Nobody else can jump in front of the camera, or onto the stage to do it for you. YOU are IT! Therefore as an Actor – you need to be 100% PRESENT in the moment, GROUNDED and CENTERED in YOURSELF, in CHARGE of your CRAFT, and INTERTWINED with the STORY you have been HIRED to TELL. 

My MASTERCLASS will offer you an EXPERIENCE to leave with along with TOOLS for your future use. Our Workshop will be INTENSE and IMPACTFUL, but also CREATIVE and INTIMATE, and should be considered PRIVATE. NO PHONES will be allowed in Class. Even if you are not on the stage, you will still be working in your seat. REQUIREMENT – LEARN a 2-4 minute MONOLOGUE that you believe SHOWCASES who you are and what you have to OFFER as an Actor – RENA OWEN

Rena Owen is renowned for her unforgettable portrayal of Beth Heke in the seminal New Zealand film “Once Were Warriors,” marking the start of a prolific career that spans across a diverse array of international film and television productions, including notable roles in George Lucas’s “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones,” Spielberg’s “A.I. Artificial Intelligence,” “The Last Witch Hunter,” US /Freeform “Sirens,” “The Dead Lands,” “Vegas,” “Orville,” alongside Seth MacFarlane and Australian series “The Gloaming.” Rena is currently overseas, working on Disney’s Live-Action “Moana”.

Rena is only one of six in the world (and the only female) to date to have worked with both filmmaking legends George Lucas and Steven Spielberg during her illustrious career that spans 35 years working in theatre, television and film, as an actor, writer, producer, director & dramaturge.
